Paige’s poems

Our Village

Golden sunset through her turmeric, diaphanous sari

Tall, broad man walking his tiny dog on a retractable pink leash

Kids playing tag and learning rock, paper, scissors

A melting ice cream truck near the soccer field with a very long line

Every Thursday, neighbours laughing while they put out recycling

Decorating for Halloween and Christmas to light the darkness

A free library with interesting novels my daughter brings home to share from her walks

Being part of this neighbourhood has brought us home.
